A Breckland village is in line for a development of up to 40 homes, after councillors unanimously supported a planning application for land close to an existing new-build site.
Blubird Land and Planning Limited sought outline planning permission from Breckland Council for land west of Chalk Lane in the village of Narborough.
The land sits south of an existing development being built by Persimmon Homes, which saw 73 homes built.
Jamie Bird of Blubird, said the development would be “the culmination of three years of hard work”.
He added the plans had the support of all of its statutory consultants and that it had only received two resident objections.
Peter Wilkins, Conservative councillor for the Nar Valley ward praised traffic calming measures included in the plans - saying the inclusion of an island for crossing the road was most welcome.
Members of the council’s planning committee unanimously voted in favour of the plans.
