The A146 near Trowse Newton has been reopened following a rush-hour crash.
Police, firefighters and ambulance crews were called to the crash, near the junction with the A47, just after 4.30pm.
Initial reports suggested five vehicles were involved, but a police spokesman said only two vehicles had crashed, adding that at least one of the drivers had suffered minor injuries.
The road was cleared by 6.25pm, and traffic is now running freely.
The road had earlier been closed in both directions, causing considerable congestion stretching B1332 Bungay Road junction and to the A1054 Martineau Lane junction, with police asking motorists to find alternative routes if possible.
