The man who died when a car came off the road at Wangford on Sunday has been named as Ian Rayner from Sotherton, near Halesworth.
Police were called just after 5.10pm on Sunday when a Vauxhall Vectra left the A12 on London Road.
Mr Rayner, 63, from Sotherton Corner, died at the scene.
Police are asking anyone who saw what happened to call Suffolk Police on 101, quoting CAD number 285 of Sunday, June 26.
