Police make CCTV appeal after elderly woman’s stolen bank card used in Great Yarmouth

POLICE have released CCTV images of a man they would like to speak to after an elderly woman's stolen bank card was used in Great Yarmouth.

The 89-year-old woman was in a town centre shop when she was distracted by a young woman who spoke with a foreign accent. Shortly afterwards she discovered her purse had been taken from her handbag.

Within about 15 minutes of her purse being taken, her card was used in a number of transactions. Police now need to trace the man pictured in connection with the transactions.

The woman's card was taken soon after 1pm on Friday, April 20.

Anyone who recognises the man or has any information about who he is should call PC Mark Grimmer at Great Yarmouth police on 101.
