Man found on bench outside McDonald’s dies

Police are investigating the death of a man in the Lowestoft town centre.

Officers were called to London Road North, near Mcdonald’s, shortly before 8.30pm on Friday, September 21 to assist the ambulance service.

The man had been found on a bench outside the fast food restaurant and emergency services were contacted.

He was taken by ambulance to the James Paget Hospital in Gorleston, where he died the following day.

• Officers said they are treating the death as unexplained and have appealed for anyone with information to call police on 101 and quote incident number 36/59140/18.
