Police inquiry into pensioner’s death
A pensioner who was arrested on suspicion of being drunk and disorderly at Yarmouth has died of serious head injuries.

Henry Purnell, of Marine Parade, Yarmouth, died at the James Paget Hospital, Gorleston, on Sunday.
He was transferred to the hospital on the advice of Norfolk police medical officer after initially being taken to Yarmouth Police Station.
The Independent Police Complaints Commission has been called in to monitor an investigation into the 77-year-old's death.
Mr Purnell, known locally as Harry, hurt his head on Friday after apparently falling in St Peter's Road.
Police were called to assist ambulance crews who were dealing with the incident at about 6pm.

Detectives investigating his injuries believe they were received as a result of a fall outside a post office in the town. A post-mortem examination will be conducted today at the hospital.
