Police hunting for a missing teenager who has not been seen for more than seven weeks are appealing for more help from the public.

Alisa Dmitrijeva, 17, has not been seen since shortly after midnight in Friars Street, King's Lynn, on Wednesday, August 31. She was reported missing by a family member on September 6.

There have since been several unconfirmed sightings of the 17-year-old, who was born in Latvia, since her disappearance but she has not made contact with any family or friends.

The Wisbech resident is described as 5ft 6in, with collar length dark brown hair with blonde highlights. However her hair may now be darker with a fringe.

Search teams have been checking CCTV footage and are still making a number of house-to-house enquiries, and continue to search for the teenager in and around the Wisbech area.

It is believed Alisa also has links with Peterborough, Lincoln and King's Lynn.

Detective Chief Inspector Ian Tandy said: 'It's been more than seven weeks since the last confirmed sighting of Alisa and we are becoming more concerned for her welfare.

'Someone knows where Alisa is and I would ask that they do the right thing and contact police or Crimestoppers anonymously.

'Any information, no matter how small, could provide that vital clue in tracing her.'

This latest appeal comes after officers earlier appealed for help tracing the movements of a P-registered green Lexus GS300.

Anyone with any information about Alisa's whereabouts should call police on 0345 456 4564 or Crimestoppers on 0800 555111.
