A 38-year-old man who had been reported missing from Diss has been found safe and well after a large scale police search.

Matthew Hindle had been last seen on Saturday afternoon when he set off on his bike to cycle from Diss to Wymondham to see a relative.

Mr Hindle made a phone call to a relative at 7.30pm and said he was in Winfarthing, but failed to return home and never arrived in Wymondham.

Police considered him vulnerable and searches were carried out with assistance from the NPAS helicopter and Norfolk Lowland Search and Rescue.

He was found safe and well in Spooner Row just before 3pm this afternoon.
