Police have unveiled their latest weapon in the fight against crime – the plodcast.

CAMBS: Police have unveiled their latest weapon in the fight against crime - the plodcast.

More than 1500 people have downloaded Cambridgeshire Chief Constable Julie Spence's first two electronic broadcasts about the force's crime-fighting performance and plans to curb World Cup disorder.

“People with busy lifestyles are swiftly becoming more attuned to electronic communication, which is simple to access.

“Using a podcast means I can get key messages about force initiatives to those who may otherwise be unaware of them.”
