A search has been continuing todayfor an 81-year-old man, who went missing from his home in Lowestoft on Wednesday.
Gerard Keen was last seen at 11.45am on October 28 at his home in Conrad Road, Lowestoft.
A police spokesman said that Mr Keen has not been seen since, having gone on one of his regular short walks but failed to return home as usual.
He is described as five feet, 10 inches tall and having white hair. He is clean shaven and when he was last seen he was wearing a black jacket, dark trousers and possibly a tweed cap.
Extensive checks around Carlton Colville marshes were carried out on Thursday, with a multi-agency ground, water and air search seeing Suffolk Police officers, a police helicopter, Lowestoft and Southwold Coastguard rescue teams, the Coastguard rescue helicopter 163 based at Lydd in Kent, Coastguard area commander, Suffolk fire and rescue boat teams from Lowestoft South fire station, Suffolk Lowland Search and Rescue teams, Norfolk Lowland Search and Rescue teams, the National Search and Rescue Dog Association unit, Norfolk and Suffolk 4X4 Response and the Salvation Army all involved in efforts to locate Mr Keen.
The police helicopter from Wattisham searched the area on Wednesday night and the Coastguard said its Lowestoft and Southwold teams had searched the coastline between Lowestoft, Kessingland, and Oulton Broad.
Today, onlookers described how police officers were searching around Carlton Colville this afternoon (Sunday). A police spokesman said: 'Mr Keen remains missing and we are continuing our searches today.'
Officers have also been conducting house to house inquiries and distributing a leaflet, urging residents to check sheds, gardens and any other outbuildings in a bid to get any information that may locate Mr Keen.
? Officers are concerned for his welfare and are asking for anyone who has seen Gerard or has any information about his whereabouts to contact Suffolk Police on 101.
