Police were called to Beatty Road in Great Yarmouth on Friday following reports a young girl had been approached by a man.
It happened at around 9.30pm when the eight-year-old girl said the man had grabbed her arm but she managed to break free and run away.
It's thought she was playing in the park at the time.
The girl was not injured and although a number of officers attended the scene and carried out house to house enquiries, no witnesses were found.
