Firefighters and police were called to Acle this afternoon to help walkers who feared they were going to be attacked by a horse.
Norfolk Constabulary responded after people walking in Boat Dyke Lane around 1pm reported that a horse was not letting them pass. The pedestrians jumped into a moored boat to avoid the animal, then called for assistance.
One fire crew also attended.
A police spokesman said no one was attacked or injured.
