Police had to disperse a group of up to 25 people and vehicles which had gathered at Sprowston Retail park on Tuesday evening.

Officers received reports of the gathering at the KFC at the retail park. The group had initially refused to leave on request.

On police attendance one moped rider was issued a s.59 notice regarding using his vehicle in an anti-social manner. The group then moved on and no further issues were identified.

Broadland engagement officer PC Andy Mason said: 'Large groups congregating in this manner can be quite intimidating to both staff and members of the public alike. We would ask that people consider how their behaviour could be viewed by a wider audience. The police will take positive action, as on this occasion, if people are seen to act in an anti-social manner'.

Any similar incidents can be reported to the police on the 101 number.
