Police appeal after woman hurt in Carlton Colville crash

WITNESSES are being sought to an incident which led to a young woman crashing her car into a garden wall close to the Rookery Park Golf Club in Carlton Colville.

The crash happened at 11.30pm on Wednesday on the A146 Beccles Road. The woman had to be cut out of her Toyata Yaris by firefighters and she was taken to the James Paget University Hospital for treatment.

Police were made aware that a man had been seen running from the scene and jumping in front of traffic. A few minutes later a 28-year-old man approached the scene and became aggressive when challenged by officers. He was arrested on suspicion of threatening behaviour and causing a danger to road users. He is being interviewed by officers at Great Yarmouth Police Investigation Centre.
