Police are appealing for help to find a hit-and-run motorist who left a pedestrian with serious injuries last night.

The 21-year-old was walking along the A1151 from the Hoveton area towards Stalham when a vehicle struck him and then failed to stop.

The man, from the North Walsham area, received leg, hip and head injuries as a result of the collision which happened at about 10.10pm.

PC Shaun Turner, from Acle Road Policing, wants to hear from witnesses or from anyone who has information about a vehicle with unexplained damage to the front which may have happened overnight. He would also like to hear from anyone who has information about the behaviour of the pedestrian, who is believed to have been a passenger on a train before the incident. PC Turner can be contacted on 0845 456 4567.
