Police appeal after Feltwell accident

Police have launched a witness appeal after a man was struck by a van in Feltwell, near Thetford.

The 25-year-old pedestrian received serious leg injuries following the collision, which happened in Bell Street at about 7.30am yesterday (Thursday).

He was taken to Addenbrooke's Hospital in Cambridge by land ambulance and remains in a critical condition, according to a Norfolk Police spokesman.

A white Ford Transit Connect, which had been travelling from the village centre towards the junction with Oak Street, was involved in a collision with a white Volkswagen Transporter parked on the side of the road.

Police closed the road for motorists and it was re-opened at about 10.30am the same day.
