Police are appealing for information after a cyclist was knocked off his bike by a van in Belton.

The incident took place at the roundabout junction of New Road and Stepshort at around 11am yesterday.

The cyclist is believed to have been struck by a white van, whose driver has been described around 40-years-old, of large build and around 5ft 8in tall with short light brown hair.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have seen the incident, and are keen to speak to a woman with short dark hair who was driving a small dark car and may have seen what happened.
