Police seek witnesses after man dies in crash with lorry in Attleborough

Police are appealing for witnesses following a fatal crash in Attleborough involving a lorry and a pedestrian.

It happened around 12pm on Friday October 6 when a blue DAF artic lorry, which was travelling along the B1077 towards the train station on Station Road, hit a male pedestrian.

The man, aged in his 80s, died at the scene as a result of the incident.

The road was closed from the Mulberry Tree roundabout to a point north of the railway crossing, with police directing traffic to alternative routes, whilst emergency services attended.

The road was reopened shortly before 8.30pm.

Attleborough Surgery was closed for the afternoon, and patients were advised to go to the Queen’s Square practice.

Officers are keen to speak to any witnesses or anyone with information.

They should contact the Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101.
