Separate applications to knock down and rebuild the Gray's Arcade building and adjoining shop were approved by North Norfolk District Council's Development Committee in Cromer at a meeting held on Thursday .
The first application, which was to redevelop the shop site into a four-floor development featuring a cafe/ retail unit, three flats and a maisonette, was approved subject to a condition requiring the timber elements of the front gables in application are replaced with a suitable matching brick.
The second application, to transform the Gray's Arcade site into a four-floor development featuring three retail units, an office and nine flats, was again approved with a condition that the render on the ground floor is replaced with brickwork.
