A major new housing development on the edge of Attleborough is being tipped for approval next month.
Developer Taylor Wimpey has submitted proposals for 375 new homes off London Road, which also includes outline plans for 3.9ha of land for employment use.
The scheme on agricultural land, which is set to be discussed by Breckland Councillors on April 11, is being recommended for the go-ahead, despite concerns about the impact of the development on local infrastructure.
Objections have been submitted by 19 residents and the Attleborough Community Team (ACT) concerned that the proposals come before a detailed area action plan for the town, which is set to grow by 4,000 new homes by 2026. Attleborough Town Council has raised no objection.
The developer proposes to build 94 affordable homes and has set aside 1ha for allotment space and land for play areas and tennis court and kick about areas.
The proposed employment development would provide for up to 12,000sqm of floorspace for light industrial and warehousing use.
