A Pink Floyd guitar signed by Roger Waters and Nick Mason fetched £2,000 at an auction held as part of the North Walsham Live Aid event, which also saw two nights of live music.

Overall, the event at North Walsham community centre, on April 21/22, raised more than the £10,000 target set by organiser Barry Holden. The money will pay for a sensory interactive floor at the Clare special school in Norwich.

Mr Holden said: 'The two nights of rock music and entertainment will be remembered in the town for some time. It included a visit from legendary Genesis guitarist Steve Hackett with his wife Jo. Steve is the patron of North Walsham Live Aid and it was brilliant to see him at the gig on Saturday night. The second highest price, after the guitar, was paid for a suede jacket donated by Stirling Moss, which made £510.'

Mr Holden has raised about £90,000, mainly for children's charities, from the event over the last 30 years.
