Traffic on the A47 briefly came to a standstill this morning when a runaway pig made its way onto the busy road.
It happened around 9.10am in the westbound carriageway at Easton.
It is believed a quick-thinking motorist and an ambulance crew were able to tether the animal and lead it to safety.
Debbie James, was travelling along the A47 towards Norwich to get to work.
Mrs Jones, said: “Traffic stopped abruptly, I could see high viz jackets in the distance. Eventually I got closer to the incident, at first I thought it was a lose deer with someone holding its head, then to my surprise a gentleman in a lime green t-shirt was standing with a tethered pig.
“The guy had basically stopped his car, jumped out and saved the pig, what a hero.”
