As thousands of people prepare to line the streets of Norwich city centre to cheer the Canaries' promotion-winning team on this afternoon, shops and pubs were paying their own tributes to mark the occasion.

Take a look at some of the scenes of celebrations in our picture gallery here, as Norwich prepares to celebrate the Canaries' promotion to the Premier League at City Hall this afternoon.

There is no rain predicted to ruin the parade, just sun and temperatues still as high as 19 degrees centigrade by the time the open-top bus tour is due to get underway around 7pm.

There are winds of about 10mph predicted but it looks like Mother Nature will largely smile down as City players, officials and supporters soak up the joy of promotion once more.

If you take any pictures or videos of the celebrations during this afternoon's civic reception, then send them to newsdesk@archant.co.uk and we will include them in our gallery.

Don't forget to pick up your eight-page picture special of the civic reception in tomorrow's newspapers or our massive review of City's 2010/11 season in Friday's EDP and Evening News.
