Man's best friend enjoyed being the centre of attention in Great Yarmouth today where hundreds of people and pets took part in a fun dog show.

Dogs of every shape, size and breed took part in Great Yarmouth Borough Council's It's a Dog's Life charity fundraiser this afternoon.

A parade ring was set up in the middle of the Market Place and dog-lovers signed their pooches up for categories ranging from waggiest tail to the Mayor's favourite.

Duncan Mallet, market officer, said at least 70 dogs were strutting their stuff in the ring.

'It's been brilliant - people have already been asking us to do it again next year,' he said.

Money raised will be donated to a number of dog charities.
