This is how those winter skeins of wild geese see beautiful north Norfolk - lucky birds.
But award-winning photographer Chris Taylor had his feet firmly on the ground when he captured this breathtaking view of Wells at low tide.
He was remotely controlling his drone, or quadcopter, as it soared overhead with a camera attached, taking high-resolution pictures and video.
And this shot, plus another taken over the coast at Sheringham, earned Mr Taylor two prizes and £500 in a national competition run by drone firm Heliguy.
Sheringham-based Mr Taylor, 43, has been a professional photographer for 11 years and licensed by the Civil Aviation Authority to use a drone for the past two.
He had to attend a three-day training course, and pass a practical test to qualify.
So far he has used the quadcopter for commercial work including views of solar farms, and so that estate agents can show potential buyers the setting of a property.
He has also taken aerial views of churches to check for problems with roofs and towers, saving congregations the expense of paying for scaffolding to be erected.
'My favourite use is for landscapes,' he said. 'It's like having a new pair of eyes and a whole new angle on north Norfolk'.
