The [Live] Art Club is returning to Norwich Arts Centre for a second year with a packed line-up showcasing both home-grown talent and performers from further afield.

Experimental theatre, live art, music, comedy and more all feature in the two week programme which includes about 30 different acts, many presenting brand new performances.

'Everyone likes to say they saw it first - this is one of those opportunities,' said Norwich Arts Centre director Pasco-Q Kevlin, who added that there was lots of fun in store with the club's 'astonishingly diverse' line-up.

'Every evening there will be a number of completely different types of performances - some of then have a box office fee, most of them are pay what you can. We just want people to have a great time and enjoy being part of the creative environment.'

The [Live] Art Club kicks off tonight with Ross Sutherland's latest show Stand-by for Tape Back-Up and Molly Naylor and Iain Ross' If Destroyed Still True, which are both heading to this year's Edinburgh Festival Fringe.

Tomorrow night Norwich band The Neutrinos will be taking to the stage with their latest show KlangHaus Midnight Feast which is also Edinburgh-bound.

'KlangHaus is really blurring the boundaries between a gig and live art,' said Pasco-Q.

'It's going to be a bit bonkers and it's one of my highlights definitely because if I was going to be in a rock'n'roll band The Neutrinos is the band I would want to be in.'

The [Live] Art Club runs until Saturday, May 24 and throughout that time live artist John Boursnell will be artist, writer and thinker in residence.

'John is going to be putting things on walls, creating a gallery, blogging about everything - essentially he is having his own artistic conversation with us as the curators and the audience,' said Pasco-Q.

'He's a bit of a maverick - so I'm expecting him to subvert the programme and have some fun.'

[Live] Art Club is presented by Norwich Arts Centre in collaboration with East by South East.

• Stand-by for Tape Back-Up - 6pm.

Ross Sutherland's latest show is inspired by a teenage experiment linking up The Wizard of Oz with Pink Floyd's Dark Side of the Moon.

• If Destroyed Still True - 9pm.

Molly Naylor and Iain Ross's show is a look at how well we get on with our teenage selves - featuring autobiography, songs.

MAY 10

• KlangHaus Midnight Feast - 10.30pm.

Noise-art-rock collective The Neutrinos and artist Sal Pittman blur the boundaries between a gig and live art.

MAY 12

• The Way You Tell Them - 10.30pm.

Using real-life material and a wolf suit, Rachel Mars interrogates the desire to be funny.

• Other/Other/Other Takeover - 11.30pm.

A group of people explore as many mysterious spaces in Norwich Arts Centre as they can squeeze into and take-over.

MAY 13

• If You Decide To Stay - 10.30pm.

Artist Sylvia Rimat's quirky investigation into decision-making.

• Memories of Lost Swimming Pools - 11.45pm and 12.30am approx.

A nostalgic performance in which live artist Kayla St Claire and sound artist Oliver Payne explore Norwich's St Augustine's swimming pool.

• Wooden Arms - 12am.

Norwich-based alternative, classical, indie band mixing classical and modern.

MAY 14

• This Is How We Die - 10.30pm.

Christopher Brett Bailey's motor-mouthed collage of spoken word, storytelling and black humour.

• All Roads Lead to Rome - 11.45pm.

Christopher Dobrowolski's quest to repair his family's old car and drive it back to the place in Italy where it was created.

• Unspool and Bind - 1am.

A solo performance by Michael Ridge featuring a living, breathing cassette player.

• A Journey Round My Skull - 10.30pm.

Inspired by a medical memoir, this love story by Kindle Theatre examines the complexity of the human brain.

• The Devil's Mischief - 10-10.30pm and 11.30pm.

A choreographic exploration by Neil Paris, Sarah Lewis and SMITHdancetheatre into ideas surrounding the Devil, God, right and wrong.

• Girl in a Thunderbolt - 12.30am.

Norwich-based singer and songwriter.

MAY 16

• The Falsettos - 10.30pm.

Stacy Makishi's solo show mixes text, movement and stand-up and reflects on murder, mortality and mid-life crisis.

MAY 17

• The Shroud featuring Siddhartha Bose and Avaes Mohammad - 10.30pm.

Drawing on Hindu myth, memories and letters, The Shroud is a meditation on death, ritual, fathers and sons.

• Sully - 11.45pm.

Music which has found a space between 2step's swing, dubstep's edge and breakstep's drums, underpinned by the spirit of jungle.

• Sohla - 1.15am.

A theatrical and expansive performance with lush soundscapes.

MAY 19

Holly Bodmer's show inspired by a found recording of a music exam and accompanied by an assortment of instruments.

• Popop - 11.45pm.

Popop makes electronic music from machines he built himself.

Bill Vine's work sees black and white televisions create a TV orchestra.

30 Bird presents a love story told through the nitty gritty of daily life.

Kate Hodges' solo performance asks, 'how are you feeling?'
