An army of ducks invaded Beccles this afternoon as the town celebrated its annual race of the plastic animals.
A total of 1,400 sponsored ducks took part in a series of races to raise money for good causes.
A large crowed gathered at the Quay to see the toys released from the Gillingham bridge and then float their way down the river.
There were 58 corporate sponsors of the ducks and people could pay 2 to sponsor one.
It is hoped that between 5,000 to 6,000 will be raised from the popular event with the funds going to local youth organisations.
Duck race organiser Lorraine Loffstadt said: 'We had a large crowd down there. I think it has gone brilliantly - it was absolutely superb to see so many people and ducks.'
As well as the duck race there were displays from the Waggy Tails dog group, Beccles and Bury St Edmunds Sea Cadets and the Kuk Sool martial arts team and there were stalls and rides.
Beccles also held an antiques street market today.
