A Norfolk town will be welcoming visitors to walk like an Egyptian following the reveal of a moongazer hare sculpture to celebrate 50 years of local children's charity, Break.
The chosen sculpture, designed and created by Sophie Green, is part of this year's GoGoHare trail and will be on display in Dereham.
The hare was revealed last night at the market town's memorial hall by mayor Hilary Bushell and is called Phareoh - spelled to incorporate the word 'hare'.
The sculpture was brought to the town on the 50th day of the year by charity supporters, Zest Car Rental.
Michael Rooney, head of commercial services at Break, said: 'The popularity of the GoGo trails in Norwich have been proven and Break are excited to extend the idea to a second trail around the county.
'Zest were quick to take up this opportunity to involve both local businesses and the community including our very own charity shop in the town centre. We cannot wait to see a flurry of trail hunters around many market towns in Norfolk, giving an opportunity to showcase what our great county has to offer.'
Phareoh was chosen by Zest's directors Rory and Pam Sexton.
Mr Sexton said: 'We loved this gold-class design.
'Sophie is very talented and has created an eye-catching moongazer that we know the people of Dereham will love. Norfolk has the Howard Carter connection so it's nice to honour that. There are also smaller elements of the design that pay homage to Dereham's history. Visitors will have to see if they can spot them.'
Ms Green is also the previous dragon artist of Child's Play and Morgan the skeleton dragon from the 2015 GoGo trail.
Visitors to the hare will be encouraged to visit businesses on a map in order to complete a special challenge. Any businesses wishing to find out more about how they can secure their place on the Dereham map should contact hare@zestcarrental.com.
The GoGoHares trail, in collaboration with Break and Wild in Art, goes live in Norwich on June 24 until September 8. There will be 50 sculptures in the city and a further 18 on the county trail.
