One person was cut out of a car which crashed on a slip road of the A47 near Dereham.

The accident, at about 5.50pm today, happened near the Tesco roundabout.

Three crews of firefighters, from Dereham, Watton and Carrow, were sent to the scene, with the first arriving at 6.03pm.

They cut the casualty out of the car, stabilised the vehicle, and helped to make the scene safe. A stop message, which meant they were free to attend other incidents, was issued at 6.35pm.

Witnesses said the car had crashed through a barrier, and police, fire and ambulance services operated from the supermarket's car park.

The condition of the casualty is not known.
