Martham War Memorial Village Hall and Wymondham-based Star Throwers are the latest recipients of the Persimmon Homes Anglia Community Champions programme.

Martham Village Hall provides a vital venue for neighbourhood clubs, groups and events and Star Throwers is a lifeline for those battling cancer.

Permission Homes’ national match-funding initiative aims to assist local groups and charities working to improve the quality of life or environment for local people.

The scheme invites groups and charities to bid for money from a £750,000 national fund, with two donations of up to £1,000 being made locally each month.

Organisations can apply for match funding by completing an online form at www.persimmonhomes.com/charity
