Pensioner hospitalised after robbery

An 87-year-old woman was recovering in hospital last night after being robbed of her hand bag in Norwich.The pensioner suffered head and shoulder injuries and was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital after the attack just after 10am.

An 87-year-old woman was recovering in hospital last night after being robbed of her hand bag in Norwich.

The pensioner suffered head and shoulder injuries and was taken to the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital after the attack just after 10am. She remains at the hospital and is in stable condition.

The victim was robbed of her handbag in the Stuart Gardens area before going to Recorder Road.

Officers are keen to speak to anyone who may have been in the area at the time. A 26 year-old man and a 19-year-old woman, both from the Norwich area, have been arrested on suspicion of robbery.
