Pensioner dies in Fens car crash

A pensioner died in a car crash in a Fenland village.

The 73-year-old man, from Wisbech, was driving a Skoda Felicia, which was involved in a collision with a Fiat Punto.

The 73-year-old man, from Wisbech, was driving a Skoda Felicia, which was involved in a collision with a Fiat Punto.

The accident happened at 3.10pm on Thursday at Main Road, Parson Drove.

Police have not yet named the driver. An 84-year-old woman passenger was not injured in the collision.

The driver of the Punto, a 34-year-old man, also escaped injury.

Traffic officers are appealing for witnesses to the collision and anyone with information is urged to call police on 0845 456 4564.
