A Norfolk pensioner has died nine days after being involved in a serious crash on the A11 at Hethersett.

Police have today made an appeal for information following the fatal collision that happened on Tuesday, December 28 near Wymondham.

At about 2.15pm, a silver Volkswagen Golf GTI was travelling on the Norwich bound carriageway of the A11 when, at Hethersett, it left the road and came to a rest at the bottom of an embankment.

The driver of the Golf received minor injuries.

However, the front seat passenger, a 76-year-old man from the Norwich area, received serious injuries as a result of the collision.

The man, who has not yet been named, died of his injuries at the Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital on Wednesday.
