Paul Coulten is hosting a picnic with a difference in his garden.

For the tenth time, he'll be having a jazz band on the lawn, with room to enjoy a jive and a pint or two of real ale.

The Barry Tyler's Original Dixieland Jazz Band will be performing at Rectory House, Boughton, near Downham Market on Saturday, July 29 (12.30 - 3.30pm).

The Saffron Walden-based band plays New Orleans jazz in the style of Louis Armstrong, Bix Beiderbecke and Fats Waller.

People are invited to bring chairs and a picnic to enjoy at the event. Admission is £7 on the gate for adults, children free.

Each year, Mr Coulten donates the proceeds to charity. So far money has gone to the Air Ambulance, the Queen Elizabeth Hospital, Tapping House, Boughton Church, Boughton Cricket Club, Help for heroes and Walking with the Wounded.
