Students from Pathways College and residents from Cavell Court Residential Care Home have worked together to produce a science fiction film.

The project has come together thanks for funding from Awards for All.

The film is called Simeon Jax - Space Pilot and will be shown at a screening on June 21 at The Garage.

The project has given the young people new skills and help them develop their confidence.

The older people have had a chance to make new friends and get involved in something that they would not normally be involved with.

Tim Edwards, director of the project, said: “It has been fantastic to see this intergenerational project happen and to see the friendships and support that has been granted between the two groups.”

Mr Edwards said everyone had great fun making the film.

Awards for All is funded by the Big Lottery Fund.
