The partner of missing Norwich man Michael Seger said she hopes the two community searches organised yesterday and attended by more than 40 people will provide some answers as to where he is.

Mr Seger, who lived off Fifers Lane, was last seen in the Rouen Road area just after 10pm on Saturday, March 7.

Sandie Smith organised a daytime search to hand out missing posters to people in the city centre and asked shops to display them in their windows. With the evening search tracing the 52-year-old father of four's last known location.

'The police can't work without a sighting of Michael so I organised the search parties to raise awareness of his situation,' said Miss Smith.

'Somebody somewhere must know something. I don't believe he has any idea that we believe him to be missing. He wouldn't have access to social media so wouldn't see the articles.'

The evening search took place around the Rouen Road and train station area with Miss Smith planning to visit Alderton in Suffolk - where Mr Seger has links - to hand out missing posters.

'I know he was troubled and he felt like he had lost everything but he hasn't. He has me and his four children and we love him.

'I just need some answers because I can't not know what has happened to him.'

Mr Seger is described as around 5ft 5in tall, very slim, with long black hair.

He was last seen wearing a black thigh length jacket, a black V-neck jumper, blue jeans and black trainers. He often wears a cap or bandana.
