A family court has determined they pose a risk of harm to the boy and police are desperate to hear from anyone with information.

Daniel John Minton and his parents, Daniel Minton and Tory Smith, are from the Swaffham area.

They were last seen on Friday, April 21 in the Orford Road area of the town.

Despite extensive enquiries they have not since been located so police today launched a public appeal for information.

It is thought they may be in the Wisbech area.

Sergeant Matt Howes, from Dereham Police Station, said: 'On April 21 a court order was made due concerns over the safety of the child and since that day the family has not been seen.

'We have spoken with people connected to the family.

'The information we have has led us to believe they may be in the Wisbech area.

'We are urging people to come forward with information.

'No matter how small they think that may be, it could prove to be the key to tracking down the family.

'The safety of Daniel John Minton is our priority.'

In March this year Daniel Minton Snr was jailed for 28 days for offences of theft and exposure.

He was given a three-year criminal behaviour order to address alcohol problems.

The order required him to work with the Norfolk Recovery Partnership and attend any course or workshop they offer on alcohol or drug misuse.

Mr Minton Snr is described as white, 5ft 8ins to 5ft 10ins tall and of stocky build.

He has blonde short hair, usually shaven, with blue eyes and tattoo on the left side of neck and his left hand.

Ms Smith is described as white, 5ft 8ins to 5ft 9ins tall and of slim build.

She has very long, black, straight hair which is possibly now dyed blonde, blue eyes and has a tattoo on her left wrist.

Wide-ranging investigations have taken place to locate the family.

Officers ask that anyone who has information regarding their current location or the whereabouts of any of the three to contact Norfolk Constabulary on 101 immediately.
