Parents are being invited to take part in a community litter pick to help tidy a children's play area in Norwich.

The litter pick will take place at Kett's Cave Park, Balfour Street, Norwich on May 22 from 2.30pm. The aim is to clear the boarders of the park and create litter free pathways in Ash Grove.

Parents with children who attend Mousehold Infant School and George White Junior School are invited to go along but the invite has been extended to anyone who uses the park. It has been organised by Jess King who runs ROOTS which hosts a range of out door learning activities.

As part of it's concept for the Spring and Summer, From the ROOTS Up, which hopes to get young people to engage and care for their local area with the goal of creating a voluntary group.

Gloves and litter pickers are being supplied by Norwich City Council. For more information visit the ROOTS facebook page.
