East of England Ambulance Service (EEAS) was called to Weybourne beach just after 2.30pm on Thursday to rescue the man.
He was then taken by air ambulance to Norfolk and Norwich University Hospital to be treated for lower back pain.
AN EEAS spokesman said: 'We were called at 2.33pm on Thursday, July 12.
'We can confirm that multiple response vehicles attended the incident including an air ambulance which transported the male patient to Norfolk and Norwich University hospital with reported lower back pain.'
