Megan Bowler, 10, has parted way with her locks in support of the Little Princess Fund, who provide wigs for children that have lost their hair through cancer treatment.

Megan said: 'I was happy to do it because I know there's somebody out there who needed it more.'

Megan, who goes to Ormesby Village Junior School, had more than nine inches of hair cut from her head, raising more than £800 for the charity.

Dad Darron said: 'A massive thank you to all that gave their money and support. A special thanks goes to Vanessa Welch for doing Megan's hair.'
