Around 30 young people will attempt to climb the height of Mount Everest in one day this weekend.

On Saturday, June 30, young people at OPEN Youth Trust, who have all taken part in OPEN's climbing activities, will take it in turns to climb the trust's indoor climbing wall 738 times, equivalent to a height of 8,848 meters.

The event will be held to raise money for the OPEN Youth Trust, which provides opportunities for young people.

Seventeen-year-old James Kimber, a member of the Ascenders club, said: 'We have gained so much from taking part in climbing at OPEN that we wanted to be able to give something back and raise funds for this amazing charity challenge is an excellent way to do this.'
