The London Organising Committee for the games is drawing up a list of sports facilities around the country which could be offered to countries to host their teams.
West Norfolk council's cabinet meets today to discuss whether sports facilities in the area should be forwarded to the committee for consideration.
At a meeting late last year, the council's culture and community panel heard providing a training camp would provide an excellent opportunity to raise the profile of the area.
