The Norwich Older People’s Forum (NOPF) will be holding its annual general meeting next week.
The role of NOPF is to make sure the voices of older people are heard and can influence the way services are planned and delivered locally, as well as work to improve the lives of older people living in and around the city.
Crossing the generations: where old and young meet together’ is the title of this year’s event, which is to be held on Wednesday, October 3 at The Halls, Norwich from 10am.
Verity Gibson, chair of NOPF, said: “Conflict between generations is nothing new but when resources are stretched there is a tendency to scapegoat certain groups, older people among them.
“This year we aim to bridge the gap. It’s an opportunity for people of all ages to meet and share views, negative and positive in a friendly atmosphere. It promises to be lively but fun as well.”
The meeting will start at 10am.
