Former students of King Edward VII Grammar School and West Norfolk and King’s Lynn High School attended a reunion at KES.

They and their partners enjoyed an afternoon of nostalgia, memories and catching up with old friends.

One highlight of the day was a tour of the Boarding House accompanied by informed commentary supplied by former ‘inmates’. Few day boys had been into this part of the school previously and everyone found the accounts of boarding at school in the 1960’s fascinating.

There were also talks by Bob Childs and author Will Stebbings, who has written novels about his experiences of a boys’ grammar school during the 1960’s.

Principal Lloyd Brown said he had enjoyed the day very much. Organiser Andrew Stephen was delighted that the event attracted over 90 people but warned that the Old Lennensians would die out if ‘younger’ people were not encouraged to join the Old Lennensians’ Association or serve on the committee.
