A mother from Old Catton is appealing for information about her autistic son's missing cat.

Victoria Sherlock says her son Kyle, 12, who has asperger syndrome, has been devastated since his beloved cat Raven went missing.

The all black neutered and chipped cat was staying with a friend in Wymondham, while Mrs Sherlcok and Kyle moved house, but within 24 hours he was lost after going outdoors.

Mrs Sherlock has informed the police and the vets and has distributed missing posters across the town, but as of yet, no sightings of Raven have been reported.

Mrs Sherlock said: 'The best present Kyle could get would be to have Raven back for the new year.

'If anyone has any information good or bad, please let us know.

'I also think the council has a responsibility to ensure they scan the dead cats they find, so at least if the worst has happened, the owners are informed.'
