The classmates and teacher of Britain's Got Talent finalist Jack Goodacre have praised the 12-year-old's skill and humility.
Father and son double act Jack and Tim were early favourites to win the popular television contest but did not make it to the top three acts in Sunday's final.
However their self-penned ballad The Lucky Ones did win them Simon Cowell's coveted 'golden buzzer' in the auditions, meaning a guaranteed place in the finals.
The pair are currently recuperating after their busy week at their home in Eccles, near Attleborough.
Jack's year eight music classmates at Old Buckenham High School commented on his success.
Erin Dysart, 13, said: 'It's quite weird when you see him in lessons because he's done so many things that you dream of doing in the future, and it's just quite surreal.'
Ria Letatam, 13, said: 'He's just a really fun-loving person, he's really talented.'
Erin said: 'He's not boastful at all, that's the good thing about him.'
Alice O'Hara, 13, said: 'We won't not remember his name in 20 years time. He'll be up there.
'It's like he's living a double life, like he's this normal school guy and you see him around the playing field and then he's on stage like a rock star. It's quite cool.'
Britain's Got Talent is not Jack's first taste of success. The young musician has also starred in The Voice Kids 2017 and in a West End production of School of Rock as Zak Mooneyham.
Alice said: 'We did a School of Rock production here and we all went and supported him.'
Tom Hilton, 33, Jack's music teacher at Old Buckenham, said: 'It's quite a surreal experience really, because obviously there is the sense that his success level is already much higher than what I teach, but the nice thing about Jack is that as well as having a lot of musical skill he's also very humble with it and not afraid to seek advice.
'Jack is a fantastic singer but he is also a brilliant guitarist. He plays electric and acoustic guitar and plays very well.
'He has just started learning the drums as well and is a song writer, so he is an all round talent.
'When he's finished all of his current activity we'd like to see more of Jack here and to get to work with him as much as possible.'
