The stress of the inspector calling is hitting an unprecedented number of Norfolk high schools at the same time.

Ofsted is in the midst of a Norfolk blitz, with inspectors having either recently visited or being about to descend on eight schools in a short space of time.

There is not believed to be anything sinister in the move, with Ofsted apparently grouping the inspections as it tries to clear a backlog.

The schools under scrutiny are understood to be Aylsham High, Attleborough High, City of Norwich School, Flegg High at Martham, The Hewett in Norwich, Old Buckenham High, Stalham High and Great Yarmouth High.

The reports will be published in the coming weeks. Keep an eye on the newspaper for updates.
