A Lowestoft offshore specialist has landed a £3m contract with one of the UK’s biggest wind farms.
James Fisher Marine Services will provide offshore services to ScottishPower Renewables, the developers of the £2.5bn East Anglia One project.
The deal includes marine coordination, communications and vessel supply, and was formally announced at an energy-sector reception at the House of Commons.
Charlie Jordan, SPR director for East Anglia One, said the agreement built on the companies’ working relationship on the German Wikinger wind farm.
He said: “East Anglia is one of the best places in the world to build offshore wind. As well as excellent offshore conditions, we have access to some industry-leading companies based in the region, and first-class port facilities. We are delighted to see another contract going to a local company, adding to the recent contract wins for Gardline and Seajacks.”
