Police found a Wymondham man in possession of ketamine after noticing a white powder around his nose.
Jason Forkes, 21, of The Avenue, was unsteady on his feet when police stopped him as he walked down Station Lane on April 27.
Officers searched him and found a wrap of ketamine, which Forkes said he had bought for his own use for 5.
At Norwich Magistrates' Court yesterday, Forkes was given 40 hours of unpaid work after pleading guilty to possession of a class C drug.
