Police have issued an appeal for witnesses following an assault in Lowestoft.

The incident occurred on Tuesday, August 22 at about 11.30pm, when a man in his late 20s was walking down Oxford Road and got into an altercation with four other men.

The lone male victim was assaulted, sustaining bruising and swelling to the face and ribs.

Anyone who witnessed the assault or has knowledge of it should call PC Shane Mingay at Suffolk police on 101, quoting crime reference 37/57368/17.
